Security is baked into the core of our technology at Similarvideo. Our trust and safety team is in charge of ensuring the security of data and using AI ethically. We have both human and AI moderation to flag off harmful content and protect our community. At the same time, we work with regulatory bodies to help shape robust and effective AI policies.

Ethical Statement

At Similarvideo, we believe in the immense power of video storytelling and as a medium of communication. With user-oriented AI-generated videos, our mission is to democratize this process. We undertake to apply our services ethically under the following principles:

  • 1. Promote Acceptable Use

Certain types of content are harmful and do not belong on Similarvideo. Our policy prohibits the upload or creation of content that depicts violence, hate speech, explicit content, illegal activities that are harmful, spam, or intellectual property infringement. Here, users are encouraged to report illicit content; we also operate mechanisms for detecting such content. Users must get clear consent when generating AI depictions of people.

  • 2. Transparency and Control

We feel that users across the board enjoy a much better experience if they understand our services and available options. Eminently, we explain to the users, in no ambiguous terms, the capabilities and limitations of our AI tools so that they can make informed choices. We provide transparency regarding data usage and offer different services having more or less stringent requirements on data handling. All videos generated by the user are private by default, with data being used—subject to consent—to improve our models.

  • 3. Safeguard Data

It builds confidence in our services through the protection of data. We maintain processes and technologies that keep user data safe as we protect our datasets and models with integrity.
